Icehockey World Junior Championships (U-20) 2007 in Russia start in just two days. There are 16 nations battling for the championship in the following two weeks. Many believe that the team of Russia will make a good run for the gold.

1-1-2007 Brian Rolston reaches a milestone !
Brian Rolston() notched the 300th assist of his career in tonight's game against the Toronto Maple Leafs on a goal by Andrew Brunette. I'm happy about it but that's it, gotta think other things now, the happy player said in a hockey magazine..

A native of USA, Brian Rolston was originally drafted to the NHL by the New Jersey Devils in the 1st round of the 1991 entry draft. He has appeared in 855 NHL games during his career, notching 234 goals and adding 300 assists along with 303 penalty minutes. The 33 year old center has played 37 games with the Buffalo Sabres this season, totalling 10+13=23 with 30 PIM.

1-1-2007 Daniel Alfredsson reaches a milestone !
Daniel Alfredsson() scored the 700th point of his career in tonight's game against the Ottawa Senators on a feed by Scott Hartnell. I'm not out here to set records, but it's always nice to get the points, he said as camera flashes went off.

A native of Sweden, Daniel Alfredsson was originally drafted to the NHL by the Ottawa Senators in the 6th round of the 1994 entry draft. He has appeared in 743 NHL games during his career, notching 275 goals and adding 425 assists along with 333 penalty minutes. The 34 year old right wing has played 37 games with the New York Rangers this season, totalling 13+15=28 with 24 PIM.
